LSW Partners brings more than fifty years of experience and wisdom to your current business opportunity.  We have experience in all aspects of business and management having at one time served in every major capacity in both small and large companies.  From startups to turnarounds to growing Fortune 100 companies, we have strategic and tactical expertise in solving a broad array of today’s business challenges.

Our primary focus is in helping companies define their corporate strategy, develop and execute their business plan, build and execute a sales and marketing strategy, and obtain capital to grow.  We primarily work with small to medium sized companies but also have experience in very large organizations as well.


Raymond L. Weadock Managing General Partner/founder





Ray Weadock is a seasoned CEO with a broad forty year computer and healthcare technology industry background. He has a unique combination of experience in both start up and Fortune 100 environments, having managed 8 – 18,000 person organizations that have generated revenues from $7M - $7B. His diverse technical background includes Enterprise software, hardware, networking, security, computer services, mass merchandising and manufacturing environments.

He has led or has been instrumental in building twelve startup companies. He draws on those experiences to help you jump start your own company. Having learned both formally and from experiencing first hand some of the mistakes that you don't want to make.

He has raised over $350M in private investment capital and participated in raising over $3.5B in public investments.  He has also lead or participated in over 25 M&A transactions in his career.

Over the years he has served on numerous boards both public and private, commercial and nonprofit.

Ray is a graduate of the University of Arkansas in Finance and Marketing and Stanford University Graduate School of Business' Executive Institute.  Having spent most of his career in the Silicon Valley and Boston, today he lives in Florida with his wife.  He has two grown sons who also live in Florida.

Jose L. Torres Partner




Jose has spent the past 23 years helping local, national and global firms design, align, implement and operates automated, high-availability and secure information technology solutions to increase business value, reduce cost and enhance customers satisfaction.

Most recently he was a Managing Director for a global billion dollar consulting firm. In the past he has worked for Ernst & Young and Price Waterhouse Coopers in senior consulting positions as well as private industry.

He has a proven IT Senior Executive track record devleoping, implementing and executing complex business strategies and initiatives. He also has extensive experience serving as an advisor to boards of directors in areas relating to technology investment, operations and corporate goverance. He is skillful at crisis management, problem solving and negotiating. 

Over the years he has enhanced his company's images through public presentations and participation as a board member for non and not for profit organizations. He is experienced in integrating multi-cultural teams to break barriers and achieve success in any endeavor.

 Jose is a graduate of Iowa State University and holds a BS in Computer Science. Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), Six Disciplines Level I & II Strategic Planning Coach Certification.

He lives in Florida with his wife and two daughters. He is fully bilingual in Spanish and English.

Scott T. Springer  Partner



Scott Springer is an accomplished business leader with broad experience across all aspects of running a business.  His experience includes leading a software / hardware engineering department, running several major cross-discipline projects, directing strategy development and planning, implementing process and cost improvement, heading product management, leading information technology application development, running major operations centers, and ultimately leading a $1B business unit.


Scott is an expert in creating high-performing teams, in aligning strategy and execution, and in building successful organizations.  He also understands how to foster effective innovation, which includes how to generate new ideas and just as importantly, how to sort through multiple ideas to ensure the organization makes the right investments.


Scott started his career flying jet fighters for the USAF, later worked at Bain Consulting, and then achieved success in various roles in a major textile company executing a successful turnaround situation.   He then spent 15 years at the Nielsen television ratings, culminating in full P&L responsibility for the entire business.


Scott is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Management & Administration, summa cum laude, and also earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.  He has two grown sons, and lives in Florida with his wife.

 Mike Gilroy  Partner

Mike Gilroy has been a senior-level executive for 40 years, with an effective career in strategically positioning companies for increased profitability, productivity and market growth. Experienced in directing scarce resources to expedite time to market for new products and start-ups and enhancing shareholder return. His diverse sales and marketing background covers start-ups, small and mid-sized family-owned companies and Fortune 500 Corporations.


Most recently he was Vice President of the North American Division for a $3.2 billion global manufacturer of innovative products for the building industry. In the past he worked for Ingersoll Rand and Westinghouse and was President of Summit Marketing, a consulting firm specializing in fund raising and turn-key marketing and sales strategies for new business start-ups.


Mike attended the University of Missouri and received an MBA Executive Certificate from The A. B. Freeman School of Business at TulaneUniversity.


He lives in Boulder, Colorado with his wife and family.

Joel Lopez Partner

Joel Lopez is a non-practicing attorney who has over 20 years experience in legal, executive, marketing and strategy related positions. 

Mr. Lopez has extensive experience in business planning, strategic planning, emerging technologies and business development. He has had a rather diverse career in assisting and managing early stage companies. 

Joel has helped identify and package the intellectual property for early stage and corporate clients to help plan corporate strategy including the acquisition and divestment of strategic assets for larger corporate clients. He has helped to found and obtain funding for several startup companies in spaces ranging from data mining to wireless technology infrastructure to advertising.

Edward J. Killmer Principal





Ed Killmer has been an entrepreneur since the day he graduated from college with a Bachelor of Architecture degree.  He began tending bar and then within a year borrowed some money to open his first Night club in the mid 80's.  He founded One Step Beyond, Inc-(concepts include “The Basement I & II” voted top 300 Night clubs in America, Details Magazine, July 1993, “Baja Bar & Grill” and”Disco Inferno”). Dallas,Tx, Lubbock,Tx, Houston, Tx, South Beach, Miami, Fl, NYC, NY and Topeka, KS. Later he was the Founder and Managing Partner of Artist Management managing rock bands. He was also a partner in a successful clud called the Cajun Cabin on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.


In the mid 90's Ed moved to Tampa and founded SomnoMedics, LLC in the Sleep Diagnostic testing field.  He and his team expanded to ten locations across Florida over the next fifteen years.  He recently sold his business and like to rest of us has joined LSW Partners to share his experience with others as we help our clients accelerate their businesses.


Ed earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree (5-yr), Texas Tech Univ., and a Graduate Certificate in Marketing from Southern Methodist University.


Ed's interests are Fantasy Football where he is nationally ranked in the WCOFF contest.  He is also active in Baseball Simulation an is nationally ranted in the top 5 of lifetime wins, in the STAR Tournaments. He has traveled extensively over the years.

William D. MacDonald Principal




Bill  MacDonald is one of our sales and channel experts. He has over thirty years of experience in sales and management leadership positions across multiple industries. Spanning dental and medical, industrial, technical and software industries, he has a track record of opening up new territories and developing them into strong performers by matching the best solutions to customer needs and establishing high level of trust among them.

While at Persystent Technologies, Bill led the company in prospect and lead development, and assumed the role of telesales team lead as the department grew. He is an expert in, developing and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting capabilities to maximize efficiencies.

He again assumed the lead role when the company sales management shifted its focus from a perpetual direct sales model to a channel subscription model, and developed the company’s account management program from the ground up to oversee all customer interactions and properly service the customer base.

Most recently, he established a customer service program for a multimillion dollar software company and through well thought out and properly matched hiring of the best talent available, developed a first class team capable of fulfilling the many and diverse needs of customers globally while maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

He is a graduate of the University of Scranton, with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Business Management, holds technical certifications from CompTia, Novell and Microsoft, and continues to broaden his capabilities in Business Development, with Dale Carnegie and Franklin Covey courses. 

He lives in Florida with his wife and two dogs.

Scott Perez Principal

Scott Perez is a seasoned Data Analytics & Cybersecurity expert with 36 years experience in the IT field.  He is fluent in 35+ computer languages.  Scott spent the last 17 years in Telecommunications most recently with Verizon, building Network Engineering Systems for Customer Network Management, Provisioning, Surveillance, Service Ordering & Administration,  and  Cybersecurity.  His accomplishments have warranted a number of significant patents in the Telecom & IT fields, as well as proprietary methods that have changed the industry over time.

Scott has been involved in numerous strategic telecommunications contracts up to the $100 million /yr range.  He was a key player in growing Intermedia communications business to over $1 billion / year in revenues, and played a role in the MCI emergence from bankruptcy.  Scott’s strategic Bell Atlantic products played a major role in the Verizon acquisition of MCI. 

He was previously involved in creating encryption technology used by commercial consumers, US Government Agencies & Militaries.  Scott has worked with a number of teams on Top Secret initiatives.

Scott  went through a Doctoral Dissertation in Chemistry at the University of Nebraska Lincoln.  He also  has an MS in Chemistry from UNL, and He holds a BA in Chemistry from Mercer Univ.  Scott had 2 NIH Doctoral Fellows, and One RA Doctoral Fellow from UNL.  He has had significant accomplishments in the fields of Cancer Research, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Computational Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, and Petroleum Chemistry.

Charles Farris III Principal




Charlie Farris is an accomplished 30 year IT sales and marketing veteran.  He has been recognized at all his previous stops with awards for excellence in sales.  He brings both large company and entrepreneurial experience to the team having been involved with the division and team at Kodak that started the digital camera in the 1980’s.  He moved to Digital Equipment Company where he delivered consecutive Digital 100 sales honors.  He then went into Management for 7 years with Adaptec, earning leadership sales awards there.  He followed that with successful sales stints at Dot Hill Systems and OCZ Technology, solidifying his knowledge of all aspects of computer technology and relevant systems.

He has a solid background in all types of sales models including channel sales as well as direct to major enterprises and government, both federal and State & Local.  He has 25 + years of experience in developing/ implementing strategic sales initiatives utilizing team approaches to deliver results.

Charlie is a graduate of The University of Mississippi in Banking and Finance.  He also earned his MBA at Ole Miss and then taught Marketing while pursuing his doctorate before joining the high technology sales profession.

He lives just outside Memphis in north Mississippi with his wife of 34 years.  He has 2 grown children.
